"A taut, gripping road trip tale that grapples with friendship, identity, and the meaning of home."
– Naeem Kapadia

Three Gen Zs: two Singaporeans, one American. Zero chance of survival.

In a remote northeastern corner of the United States, by the shoreline of the majestic Lake Michigan, at the mouth of the grand Kalamazoo River, lies the legendary promised land called Singapore. Unfortunately, it now exists only as a ghost town. Founded in 1836 as a port to rival the likes of Chicago, it survived leadership power struggles, financial scandals, and the 40-day Blizzard of 1842, to become a thriving trade hub with a population of seven hundred.

And then, tragedy struck, and by 1875, Singapore was no more… Fast forward to 2025. Enter a pair of “real” Singaporeans and their American friend – three friends on a mission to find the mythical place that was Singapore, Michigan. On their adventure, history repeats itself, as they too find themselves trapped in a blizzard, facing life-or-death questions: will they survive the cold? Will they survive one another? Will they survive without Indomie?... Well, at least it’ll give them lots to TikTok about. And as they freeze, fight, and freak out, sordid secrets are spilled, shocking surprises are sprung, and they soon discover that they are actually searching for answers to life’s conundrums – passion vs practicality, dreams vs duty, and what it means to be “Singaporean” in the 21st century.

In this world premiere of Singapore, Michigan, playwright Ong Chong An has crafted a fiery and fiercely funny story, excavating issues that will resonate with all of us who call Singapore home. Truly.

Singapore, Michigan was commissioned by Pangdemonium under our New Works Lab playwriting mentorship programme, led by our Associate Director Timothy Koh.

For us to Kick Ass in theatre, we have to make sure everyone gets to be a part of it! As part of Pangdemonium’s new initiative to make our shows more accessible to the general public, we have designated some of our show dates to be either relaxed performances or captioned performances.

Relaxed Performance:
19 March 2025, 8.00pm (Wednesday)

We want to give the neurodiverse community the correct access requirements so that everyone in our diverse community can enjoy A Doll's House, Part 2!

Minor changes will be made to our show to accommodate this, such as reduction in sound levels, relaxed lighting and allowing access to a calm room for any audience member who wish to step out to take a break.

Captioned Performances:
13 March 2025, 8.00pm (Thursday)
15 March 2025, 3.00pm (Saturday)

We also want our hard of hearing patrons to enjoy the show as well, so these performances include LED captioning panels. The captions are generated in real-time, so patrons will be able to understand what the actors are saying.

For the best view of the LED captioning panels, please choose seats from:

"A smart, funny and utterly engrossing play."
– The New York Times

Yes, you read that right – Part 2. And no, we are not staging Henrik Ibsen’s “Part 1” for you to catch up. Because the honest truth is, you don’t need it! All you need to know is that in Ibsen’s classic A Doll’s House, Nora Helmer had had enough of a lifetime of being treated like a “doll”, and walked out on her family. And fifteen years later in PART 2, she’s baaack, ready to kick ass, flip the bird at tradition, and dump a big, fat shrimp on another famous doll.

Why has Nora returned? What does she want? And what will it mean for the family she left behind? A Doll’s House, Part 2 is a bold and brilliant play that is all at once a razor sharp comedy full of belly laughs, a continuation of Ibsen’s complex exploration of traditional gender roles, as well as a cunning contemporary take on the struggles inherent in all human relationships across time.

Nominated for 8 Tony Awards, including Best Play.

"A gorgeous heartbreaker of a musical."
– New York Times

Every day for Evan Hansen is filled with stress, anxiety and loneliness: life with his single mother a misery-go-round; he has been nursing a secret love for the unattainable Zoe Murphy; and his school life a freakshow, with Evan himself as the invisible boy...... until the fateful day he has a strange encounter with another misfit, and an out-of-control sequence of events transforms life for Evan – and everyone else – forever.

The critically-lauded and award-winning DEAR EVAN HANSEN has captured the hearts of millions, and Pangdemonium is proud to be staging this powerful and poignant musical.

Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical & Best Original Score.

  • In true Pangdemonium style, this production is truly a marvel... Pangdemonium proves that, along with upbeat productions like THE FULL MONTY, they are able to produce a fully austere one as well.

A Boss From Hell movie producer; a sexy, ambitious film maker; a fish-out-of-water wannabe screenwriter… each with a secret agenda. In the shark-infested waters of showbiz, it’s a matter of life and death. Someone is moving in for the kill…

Swimming with Sharks is a suspenseful and savagely funny psycho-sexual tale of greed & lust, deception & revenge, paper cuts & wind-up toys. While set in the “fantasy world” of Hollywood, it will feel very real to those who live in the back-stabbing, bile-stained, blood-spattered world of office politics, and have seen how power makes monsters out of men.

Based on the acclaimed Kevin Spacey movie of the same name, Swimming with Sharks is The Hunger Games (for grown-ups) meets The Apprentice meets Speed-The-Plow, and much more. It will take you on a nail-biting journey with deliciously wicked twists and turns – live on stage, in real 3D – leaving you gasping in astonishment at the shocking climax.

"Devastating, shattering, a masterpiece."
– Time Out

Middle-aged, unhappily married, and inebriated, George and Martha are stumbling home from a late-night party, when a couple arrives at their doorstep. Young, sexy, and new in town, the surprise guests - Nick and Honey - are everything that George and Martha are not. What follows is a rambunctious evening of dangerous mind-games and reckless antics fuelled by drink and driven by spite - unravelling bitter rivalries and long buried secrets.

Part dark comedy and part love story, Edward Albee’s 1962 masterpiece is a modern classic that continues to reveal the hard truths about our primal capacity to hurt those we love the most, and how we deal with the harsh realities of life.

Winner of the Tony Award for Best Play, Nominated for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
