Tracie Pang

Artistic Director

Trained in theatre at Croydon College, London, Tracie went on to be a theatre practitioner in production houses and touring shows throughout the UK and Asia. Her work includes productions with The Singapore Repertory Theatre, Quicksilver Theatre Company, Johnny Ball Productions, Mu-Lan Theatre Company, Pimlico Opera, Theatre Royal Stratford East, Surrey Opera, and TheatreWorks, as well as work in London’s West End.

Tracie’s contribution to the Singapore theatre scene has spanned two decades, starting when she worked on TheatreWorks’ The Retrospective in 1990. She has been instrumental in establishing Singapore Repertory Theatre’s The Little Company in 2001, producing quality plays for children. Tracie’s work as Associate Artistic Director with the Singapore Repertory Theatre has demonstrated her constant and significant contribution to local theatre with four nominations thus far for Best Director at the ST Life! Theatre Awards.

Tracie is also an accomplished Lighting Designer and occasional Playwright. She has written and directed numerous productions including Just The Three Of Us, The Sound Collector, When I Grow Up, It’s A Hot Christmas, Grandma’s Journey, Little Victories, The Ugly Duckling, The Snow Queen (nominated for Best Director, ST Life! Awards 2006) The Gingerbread Man, The Dresser (nominated for Best Director, ST Life! Theatre Awards 2007), The Pillowman (nominated for Best Director, ST Life! Theatre Awards 2008), Boom, Defending The Caveman, all for SRT; and Members Only for SingTheatre. 2010 saw her directing Blackbird for SRT and The Full Monty for PANGDEMONiUM! PRODUCTIONS.
