Accounting Manager

As a member of our Accounting team, the Accounting Manager will serve as our financial resource and a key contributor in managing our finance processes, procedures, reporting, and compliance to ensure we maintain our reputation for producing high-quality work. The position will report to the Artistic Directors and the General Manager.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Managing daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll review. 
  • Filing withholding tax and quarterly GST returns. 
  • Preparing board packs for the Board of Directors, including quarterly/annual budgets, cash flow forecasts, variance analysis, and budgetary controls. 
  • Preparing financial reports for management and external parties, such as the National Arts Council. 
  • Preparing and submitting necessary financial audit information, and collaborating with external audit teams. 
  • Collaborating closely with the Philanthropy team to ensure compliance with IRAS and CMF guidelines regarding donations. 
  • Reviewing staff expense claims and preparing IR8A. 
  • Calculating royalties. 
  • Preparing and submitting all payments. 
  • Ensuring compliance with the Charities Accounting Standard (CAS).
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Experience working in charities/non-profits would be preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience handling a full set of accounts.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

Ticketing and Sales Assistant
Learn to manage and provide ticketing support for our productions. This includes working with our ticketing software, assisting with customer service enquiries, and managing sales and ticket distribution.

Marketing Assistant
Be responsible for the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives. This includes conducting market research, creating marketing materials and assist with social media planning. 

Fundraising Assistant
Assist in the planning, execution and evaluation of fundraising campaigns and initiatives. This includes researching potential donors, creating fundraising materials and assisting with special events.
