At present, it is making out well in the study of the carbon-nanotube chemical plating with Ni, Co, Ag, Cu, etc.. But it has not been reported about its application in the composite brush plating. The Ni-P-Carbon-nanotube composite electro-brush plating technology and conditions of plating are deeply researched in this article.

A film of Ni-P-Carbon-nanotube composite material is deposited on the surface of the metal substances by electro-brush plating. In this process, the composition of the Ni-P-Carbon-nanotube composite plating solution, the pretreatment on the carbon-nanotube and the effects on quality by the different brush plating technology conditions are investigated.

No bubbling phenomenon occurred. Through checking the plating coating by the rasping test, the scratch test, the thermal shock test, attrition polishing test, it is proved that there exist no desquamation, peeling, sloughing, shelling and bubbling phenomenon. The coating strength is higher and the flexibility is better. Conclusions By electro-brush plating, a film of Ni-P-Al2O3-Carbon-nanotube composite coating can be deposited on the metal surface. This processing is easy and its cost is less.
