To keep the windscreens clear, Concorde used a combination of windshield wipers, deflectors and rain repellent, although the last became effective only above 100kt. To keep the screens clear from rain was only one requirement for the crew's visibility, since at low level insects and dust became ::mother hazard to deal with.
